Hear hear! I'd love a kick in the pants to get going again!

I'll join you. Hopefully by that time it will be a habit that I'll stick to.

That is, if you don't mind someone who isn't technically on the team.

I do it too! I do it all the time, I love fitday.com. Keeps me on track and I need that.

Mel, I do not always post my weight since I am maintaining my goal. But I would really like to stay up on your site. I consider being here as one of the anchors to help me not drift back to where I was befor.

My first time here, this sounds very interesting, i would love to join you all in fitday, how does it work??

I was just thinking this morning that I needed to get back to FitDay. I'll do it.

Are we going to make our eating journals public too?

I have not checked in because I am ashamed that I keep gaining. After hurting my knee I decided to do something that would not hurt my knee and so I have been doing a few sit ups and push ups as well as so really good stretching (I had NO idea how bad my slouching was until I started stretching each day! My back hurts each morning after I stretch real good! And it feels SO good that it hurts too!) anyhow, I am at 266.5 right now. Hubby told me after all the sweets are out of the house then we should not buy anymore. Being the good wife I am ;-) I will not buy anymore junk food. Oh, and I told him about you Mel, how you like to have oatmeal each day because it is easier for you to not have to decide. He thought it was a great idea that he told me (this was last week) that we were going to start doing that this week! So off we go. The whole family is coming on board, not for the children to lose weight but to be healthy! Thanks Mel!

I will check out Fitday to see if it is something I can do!

Count me in! I'm not an official member of the diet naked team, but I use fitday and have gotten a little relaxed lately. 10 days would do me good!

I've not had good luck with Fitday. Seems like too much time and effort to keep up. But I may give it another try. Good luck to you, tho!

I'd so take you up on that if I weren't about to go on a crazy bout of end of summer traveling. Good luck!

I'm in -- you're going to have to tell us how to make it "public" if that's part of the deal. 10 days, right? Starting... the 28th? Today? I'm a rules-follower -- I need rules!

One more -- if you look up food at dietfacts.com, MOST of the foods have an "Add to Fitday" button. It's that easy to record things that you eat (I used to think that dietfacts.com ONLY had restaurants -- not true!) You have to sign in to fitday, then go find foods @ dietfacts.com. To me, it's easier than entering every nuance of the cracker you ate!

I'm totally in! I'm still pregnant, and won't be trying to lose any weight, but journaling is a great way to keep my weight gain on track.

I love FitDay, by the way. You introduced me to it way back when you were first showing readers what a low-GI diet can look like. So, thanks!

You should take me off your list for now, I got pregnant again, so wasn't supposed to be losing weight. :-) Come November though when this kid is out and I'm recovered, I'll join again. :-)

Oh and I'm stephanie W. since you have so many of us over there! :-)

I started back on fitday with your last post. I'm 9 days and counting. I've gained back the 15 pounds I lost last year. I get so frustrated. i exercised daily, was...okay... with eating and it took be 18 mos. to lost 15 pounds! I MUST keep the mentality that I lost that weight and not the ONLY part.
So you're reminded about fitday got me back on. I think recording what I put in my mouth really helps me eat less. instead of guessing, I know and I stop when I near 1500 cal. The highest I've gone is 1900.
I noticed on your diary some of your food choices seemed, well, less nutritious and way under 1000 cal. Is that okay? how important is making sure you are nutritionally balance and not just eating less?

I'm coming up on my one year anniversary (as I've mentioned here)with Fitday and after this amount of time, I enter it all rather quickly. I started at 190 (a tight size 16) and am at about 154 at this point (a comfortable size 12). I know it is tiring keeping a log of food but I am very much enjoying feeling comfortable in sizes I have not worn in many years.
My goal was to get into my normal BMI so it worked for me. I'm working at maintaining this for a while and will see if I get to 150 by the end of the year - since things are very slow at this point and I don't think I want to eat less. : - )
You can make your journal public by clicking on the box at the HOME page after you log in. (then share the link) Mine is linked to my blog as the top link.

I'm in! I've been sporadic with my Fitday over the summer. This will be a great way to get going for fall.

I’ve never tried Fitday, but I’m in!
Mel, thanks for the email, and no, I would not consider myself petite -I am 5’6 but I do think I am ’light-boned’, meaning I usually weigh less than what I look like. Apparently 132 is what I should weigh according to LAWeightloss; it is what I weighed before I had children. My husband has this formula for women, at 5’ you should weigh 100 pounds, and then add 5 pounds for every inch over 100. So I get to 130 pounds for 5’6. But you know, even if I only get down to somewhere between 140 and 150, I’ll be thankful and happy.
I started some very light exercise, biking with my youngest while my husband runs, it’s not much, but it is better than sitting! The treadmill is still calling, but it is nice to enjoy the last summerdays (at least that’s what it feels like here in Manitoba, Canada)

I'll say No. I'm too lazy to do FitDay. :)

I have to get things in order with me this week otherwise I might be joining up here again. I don't know what is UP with me lately. AH.

Steph

I'm in. Fitday is an amazing wake up call to how many calories I can consume in a day. They add up so quickly. Good luck everyone.

Hey Mel

This is completely off topic and may be way to personal to answer in your blog but I am wondering: Back when you first said adios to the evil twins, did you find yourself exceptionally gassy? I'm blaming it on the vast increase in fruits and veggies but also wonder if I am normal or a freak LOL

I'm in Mel. I know I'm not a regular but 10 days of fitness will either kill me or make me take off some of this weight so count me in.

Okay, I'm in. This is my second day of tracking my food on Fitday after a long absence, and I can already sense that it's making a huge difference in my choices knowing that I have to account for each thing going in my mouth. I hate writing it down, so knowing I need to is making it easier to say no to mindless eating. I lost about 25 pounds a little over a year ago, and gained 15 back during some emotional upheaval. Things are back to a new normal, so I'm going to get back to where I was and then some!

I'm not an official naked dieter, but can I join in too? I need a good kick-in-the-pants accountability type thing. I weighed in at 179 the other week, which completely freaked me out. (Boy, it's hard to admit to that.) I'm aiming for 160.

Well, I would die of stress if I tried to keep up with one more thing so I guess I will stand back and watch you all do this. I am back on the plan after having to hit the "reset" AGAIN after me ladies motorcycle rally this past weekend. This time the calendar looks good for awhile so I can hunker down and get rid of these last 15ish pounds:)

I used to fanatically journal my food. I got down to my goal weight, then I went on vacation. Heh. Didn't journal or give a second thought to what I ate....IT'S VACATION, right? Anyway, I packed on 5 lbs and haven't journaled a lick. I would LOVE to start again and I will today.
