A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from Beth at PureFoods Fresh Start. She made me an offer I couldn't refuse: three weeks' worth of meals in exchange for blogging about my experience using this diet plan. I think I may have actually applauded at my desk while reading the email. This is exactly the kind of portion-controlled meal plan I need to get my weight loss moving again. And someone else has done all the planning and cooking! All I have to do is warm up the food and eat it.
So, today, a gigantic box full of a week's worth of meals arrived. (I took a photo, but I am utterly exhausted from driving six hours to and from a funeral . . . so next time, perhaps, I'll post some photos.) I unpacked and put everything in the fridge. The meals were still cold, having been packed in a cooler which was padded with giant ice packs. We were all very impressed by the packaging.
Then I warned my kids not to touch my food. I have teenage boys, liable to eat anything that can't run away from them.
You can click around on the website for PureFoods Fresh Start and see the sample menus and read the Frequently Asked Questions. I will be eating only the food provided by PureFoods Fresh Start for the next three weeks. I cannot wait to see how much weight I will lose. (And, yes, I plan to do this despite holiday parties. What an awesome way to get through the holiday season.)
You can sign up for a weekly contest to win a Three Day Sampler here.
Tomorrow morning, I will be eating Southwestern Skillet of Scrambled Eggs, Hash, Salsa and Cheddar Cheese. My snack will be an orange and string cheese. My lunch will be Grilled Chicken Breast Wrap with Grilled Vegetables and Honey Dijon Mustard. Dinner? Turkey Meatballs and Spaghetti Squash with Mixed Vegetables. And I even get a treat--a White Chocolate Chip Cookie.
I know. I am very, very lucky. I'll let you know how it goes.

I hope it goes well.

Oh, wow! I just browsed the website and this looks awesome! What a gift. What a jump start!
I'm doing a little happy dance for you, right here in my kitchen. As a regular reader of both of your blogs, I know things haven't been easy for you lately. (Not just food, but everything!) So take this gift and run with it, girl!

It sounds alot like the nutrisystem, the whole pre-packaged pre-portioned deal. I used to be on NS, good luck with it!

Woah. Sweet! I also clicked the site and it is mucho expensive (who are these typical working adults who spend $13 a day for dinner, and how can I join their family??)--not that I know how much the other programs cost to compare--so what a fantastic deal.
Good luck!
