I'm down to 164.6 this morning, for a grand total loss of 61.8 pounds. Last week I weighed 166.8, so I am down 2.2 pounds since then. All thanks to PureFoods Fresh Start.
Time to check in! It's especially important to weigh yourself during these weeks leading to Christmas, I think. Otherwise, it's too easy to say, "I don't care . . . I'll worry about it in January."
The past couple of weeks I've had trouble exercising regularly. Once I stopped my Exercise Streak (daily cardio every day for over a year), my exercise program fell apart. I was walking 5 mornings a week, but once I started a night job, ending at midnight, I found rising at 6:15 a.m. to be more and more difficult. We went to three mornings a week, and then I decided to take the month of December off entirely.
But clearly, no exercise at all isn't great, either, so I am back to using my exercise bike in the evenings (between my works shifts). So, I'm back in the saddle again. I have the "Biggest Loser" exercise DVD that I want to start using for toning.
I also think I might have to start another Exercise Streak in January. After all, near-daily exercise is one of the traits people who've kept off weight share according to the National Weight Control Registry. And I want to be one of those people!

Somehow I am down 1.6 this week despite my romance with potato chips and onion rings this week. 235.4. Yay for you 2.2! Yay for me!

I am at 178.5, down 1.5 lbs from last week. I finally hit 40 lbs lost!!! Yeaaaahhh!!! I also bought a pair of size 12 jeans yesteday. Last year at this time I was between a size 18 and 20. Regular exercise seems to be key for me. I work out at the gym 4 days a week. The last time I weighed 178, I was bigger than a size 12. That weight lifting is doing it's job!

Way to go Melodee!! You are right on about the exercise. Not to mention the great mental stress reduction that comes with exercise. Thanks so much for being so transparent! I am rooting for you!

Yay Mel - you are doing so good. I am holding at 151.0 today. Just trying to keep my head about me these days. Next week I travel home to see mom and dad for Christmas so that is guaranteed to be a total stress fest. If I can maintain 150-ish over the course of that visit, I will be doing GREAT. Congrats on your loss - do you realize how close you are to the 150's? Keep going - and yes, start another exercise streak. I will do it with you.

I am in a bad way this week. Up two pounds from yesterday, which puts me back at 167, suffering from the period from hell. Ate sausage, bacon, fried eggs. I feel like crap today. I wonder if I am going to even make it through the day.

I'm pretty excited this week as I met my goal for the year, which was to lose 40 lbs. I'm down to 199.6 now, and soo happy!
I'm just gonna hold that till after Christmas and then dig in again, as I have another 50+ to lose to make lifetime at WW.
I haven't been exercising, mostly do to a cold that went into the flu/fever, but I plan to get back to three days a weeks again in the New Year.
For my next short term goal, I'll pick 175, since I haven't been that weight since early college (and wasn't much under that in high school). Once I hit that, anything below will really be "uncharted territory" for me.

Woo hoo, Mel! You are almost to your 160 goal! And I do think exercise is a big key in weight loss, especially if your work is a sit-down job. Gotta get up and movin' again, so it's great you are setting goals in that area.
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

213 this morning.
Two questions for you Melodee:
First, what are your plans once you've finished the fresh start duration?
Second, what's your plan for your blog (this one)?

I'm so proud of you, Mel! Can't wait to hear more and see less!
Congrats, again!

I'm at 215 even. That's not so bad. 1.3 pounds this week. I'm so happy for you losing so much weight. You'll be on your way to 150 before you know it.

That's awesome!! The meals sound delicious too. I was curious if you took vitamin supplements at all, and, if so, do you think they help with your weight loss? I was reading Dr. Phil's book and he recommends taking a good vitamin.

Truthfully, I don't feel like weighing in today, after brownies yesterday!!! Also, it's that time of month. I just don't feel like getting discouraged today. So, I will not be weighing myself until the weekend!!! Congratulations Mel!!!

Way to go Mel...as usual for me I get a rise of 2-3 pounds when I get back on the exercise routine...might be muscle but discouraging none the less. Hope you don't get hit by that problem.

I "forgot" to check in last week, possibly due to the extreme down-in-the dumps feeling I got after learning I'd gained 1.5 pounds last week!
This week, I lost .5 of that, and I'm now at 158.
Congrats to you, Mel! You're almost done!
