Here's what I know for sure: the idea of ice cream cake from Dairy Queen is better than the actual ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. (So why did I eat two pieces? Just to confirm what I knew already?)
(Today was my birthday . . . well, yesterday was my birthday.)
And I also know this: when I eat junk, I feel junky.

Happy Birthday Mel! I'm turning 40 this year - it will be a miracle if I don't eat a whole cake.

Hey lady!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Let's cheer each other on to a "buckle down" mentality and see if we can hit our April diet anniversary together with big smiles on our faces! You are still about -4 pounds ahead of me...so you have a head start...let's GO! (besides you have already signed on to a program and I am heading off to comfort food oriented Memphis TN tomorrow for 5 days, LOL!) You got it made baby!

Happy belated birthday, Mel!
By the way, although I've always had a raging sweet tooth, ice cream cake has never tempted me. If I eat cake, I want buttercream frosting, dang it! So, since I'm impervious to the charms of Dairy Queen ice cream cake, my family loves it. So that's what I got my hubby for his birthday, and that's what my other family members will be getting too! You gotta do what you gotta do. :)

Happy Birthday Mel!
I have not been reading blogs for the last 6 or so weeks, we were away on holiday and now we are preparing for our move Friday.
I gained 3-5 pounds during our month away, and want to get back on track, so, please keep posting, it's always good to read your honest posts about this whole battle.
I just quickly glanced at your latest posts, are you doing Weight Watchers now?

Happy late birthday!
I try to have snacks in the house that my family likes but hold no appeal for me, such as Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme cookies. No thank you.
But I do know about the idea seeming better than the reality. I thought all this fudge I had this weekend would be good, but alas, it was not. Bleh.

Happy Birthday Mel! Well, I think it is okay to have a little slurge on your birthday but then get right back on the horse!! I am considering doing WW - we have one here and I think that I can get through the last 15 pounds with some one-on-one support and meetings. I am going to check it out! You go girl. And the idea of a delicious snack is almost ALWAYS better than the actual snack itself, I agree. Let's get some new ideas.

Happy Birthday Mel!
It always amazes me that KNOWING how junky you feel when you eat junk (the "carb hangover" or "sugar crash" whatever), you still want to eat it, and usually/sometimes still do.
I kick myself every time. I know I feel better when I don't consume the stuff. I know that. Why do I do it? Amazing.

Happy birthday! I think it's okay to eat ice cream cake on your birthday :) Or really, any day. Which might be why I'm stuck at 178...
