One hundred seventy nine. Yes, that's right, folks 179 pounds. That would have been very depressing except that I have already moved on and am focused on eating right and losing this weight once and for all. Also, I have some perspective. Two years ago when I decided to lose weight, my starting point was 226.4. This new starting point, today's weight of 179, is not so bad, all things considered.
I mentioned a podcast that I am going to be using to train. It's called Podrunner. Click there for information. I downloaded it free from iTunes and will start using it next week. (One thing at a time. This week, I'm getting food back under control. Next week, I'll add exercise.)
And I hope by next Tuesday, I won't have to roll my eyes when I step on the scale.

Feh! 179 - who cares, you got started, right? Well, if it makes you feel any better, I also gained a bit - I'm at 145, so back up a couple. It sounds so stupid to be saying that I am dissatisfied with 145 but the goal is 135 so - got 10 to go!! Sounds like you've got the right attitude, Mel. I love my Ipod and Itunes - I love the fact that I can buy any ol' song I want - stuff from high school, show tunes, new stuff - whatever. Have fun! And watch out for that salty shit - it will get you every time.

Thanks for posting the info about the podcast. I am at 164.5, down a half a pound from last week.

I am off the scale until my birthday. The pressure I was putting on myself to reach 70 pounds lost by then was too too much. Instead, I'm focusing on eating well and exercising. However, I got measured for a new bra this weekend, and I have lost 6 inches in my band size, which was amazing to me! And - as of my previous weigh in, I finally hit that milestone that you reached many moons ago, I weigh less than my drivers' license says I do!
Congrats on picking up and starting again. You're going to do it - your perseverance is inspiring. I'm gonna do it too!

Today I was 173.6. I have been bouncing around the 172-175 range for the last couple weeks (monthly is doing the usual late thing right now so this should be my "high" week weight wise.) Doing toning exercises 5+ times a week, and working to perfect the zig-zag caloric intake since I definatly want to build muscle and loose fat. The darn female body...sometimes it is just too efficient at guarding the fat stores.

Oh, I do more than roll my eyes at my scale. I usually utter a non-family friendly word and gesture at it. ;-) Love your attitude and you are right, you've come a long way since your original starting point.
