As it turns out, it's possible to exercise if you simply plan ahead a little. Like this morning: I knew that we'd be going out tonight (dinner and a movie to celebrate my husband's birthday), so I had to exercise before I worked.
And I'm glad I did. I'm always so happy that I exercised when I finish. It's the getting started that's the hard part.
Also, my pants are looser. And it's not just my imagination.
So, I'm heading in the right direction. I haven't missed a day of exercise this month, which means I have already accumulated more days of exercise this month than I managed the whole month of May.
All it takes is a little planning ahead and a little commitment.
How are you doing? Finding time to exercise?

It's always hardest to just get moving. But as long as you let your body just go and not let your head tell you all the other things you could be doing... it ends up happening more than not. It's good you are letting your body dictate and not your head.

Good for you! I've fit it in every day since June 2nd-even though one of those days it was just a leisurely walk around my neighborhood because I was so sore from a workout with my trainer the day before. And Sunday VBS started. I'm leading the music and doing lots of motions with the songs-that may have to count as my exercise some this week, but I'm trying to do more.

I've been getting some kind of exercise every day. Goodness, yesterday I was moving furniture. *pants* I think that I really enjoy moving more when I feel like I'm accomplishing something visible, instead of feeling like a hamster on a wheel. I can't see changes in my body yet, but at least my house is looking good. *laughs*
I have really been enjoying my little weight set though! They are small weights, so I use them until my arms and shoulders feel ready to fall off. Being a little sore feels good.

Hasn't been a good month for me so far, it's only the 10th and I've spent three days out of town and three days fighting a cold. I hate summer colds. :-P

This is great...it looks like committing to exercise every day and following through with it will be the key to get you going again, full-steam!
I would've liked to commit to the every-day-in-June exercise with you, but I knew that I often don't exercise on Sundays. Not because of a conviction, but because my church has both a morning and evening service, and I'm extremely involved in both. I tend to be very jealous of my Sunday afternoons.
However, I do write down every day I exercise. I exercised 20 out of 31 days in May, and so far I've exercised 5 out of 9 days in June (I'm going to the gym today.) I do want to improve those stats!

That is awesome Mel!! I have gotten to the gym everyday this month so far. I really want to lose these last 4 lbs, and tone up even more. I have defintely seen results, I just want to meet my goal now. I am ready. LOL

Today I took all three kids to Target AND the grocery store. I feel like a rock star!
I'm so happy that you are having success. I have always felt that exercise has been the greatest weapon in my war against being unhealthy. Something about the endorphins makes me reach for a huge glass of water rather than a huge slice of pizza. Seriously, the work out makes me crave healthier options and mentally I find I don't want to counter act my work out by eating Sonic after the gym.
Pregnancy, however, just messes with me and I'm just along for the ride.

Am doing well though this was the second day in June where I only walked my son to kindergarten, and run some errands back. Still.

Happy b-day to hubby.
You are so inspiring! I try to do something every day but really want to get into the routine of working out in the morning. I know it makes me feel better and I tend to eat better when I get my workouts in first and I don't have to spend the day finding excuses not to work out.

Checking in. I'm at 164, so up a pound from two weeks ago. Arg. But you're right, I know why I'm in this spot, and I know what I need to do to get out of it.

I'm finally stepping it up. I joined Curves on Tuesday. I plan on going at least 3 times a week to start. Yeah, me!
