Weight today: 194.4.
I have neglected exercise every day this month! Now if I could put together near-daily exercise with attentive eating, wouldn't that be something?

A while back, I received samples of Funky Monkey Snacks, which are freeze-dried fruit snacks containing no additional sugar or flavorings. They were really good. My favorite was "Bananamom" (freeze-dried banana and cinnamon). The kids liked them, too, though they were not as fond of "Purple Funk" (freeze-dried banana and acai). The other two varieties are "Carnaval Mix" (freeze-dried banana, pineapple, apple, papaya and raisins) and "Jivealine" (freeze-dried pineapple and lime juice).
You can read more about these snacks at the Funky Monkey website, including information on ordering them or finding them locally.
(You should know that I am posting this little blurb in exchange for free samples. I love free stuff, but I really did like these snacks, too.)

Way to go Mel! Youre holding your own! :)

I thought you might find this article interesting-- http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121546349717633531.html. I got it from Pasta Queen's blog, who actually said she wouldn't read it because it says discouraging things about the propensity to regain weight after loss. I still found it very interesting, just as something to be aware of and guard against. It may be unfair, but that's life!

Great job on the accountability this month. I've had a rough start to July with health stuff, but I got back exercising tonight with a 30 minute walk with my husband.
Jivealine sounds like the Funky Monkey snack for me. I don't like banana stuff, just fresh bananas. Will have to give them a try.

I weighed in at 174.6 this morning. Am I happy with that? I am "ok" with it but I feel I have lost my connection with the 170 "barrier" again...and last summer I did this too. Low 170's then as summer ended I went back up into the 180's. So, no resting on my laurals here. I have had a tough month for staying committed...too many activities that involve eating out and my body is deeply affected by the hormones of change and with little predictability to my cycle I seem to hover in a constant PMS feeling (including all the cravings!)
Onward though...I have a leather Harley Davidson halter I got last winter on clearance. I can wear it, but down 10 more pounds and it would actually look good!
