Dear Oprah,
Thank you for staying fat. I'm sure you aren't doing it just for me, but it does make me feel better to know that you haven't been able to get the weight off--again--and that even all your media power and bajillion dollars does not mean easy fitness and slim health.
Love,
Mel who keeps making stupid choices
(I also deeply appreciate Kirstie Alley, Maureen McCormick, and the "Biggest Loser" Erik Chopin)

In other news, did you see this CNN article about Roni, from Roni's Weigh? (She lost 71 pounds.)

I'd like to thank them all too. It's nice to know we're not alone in this struggle.

FYI: The link for Roni's story is going to Erik Chopin's story.

What is it about the first time around compared to the second on the weight loss wagon? I've lost weight (seemed so simple at the time). Then, gained it back. Losing it again? You've got to be kidding me. It's easier to move a mountain.

Ha! I didn't know Maureen McCormick gained weight back after Celebrity Fit Club! I'll have to check that out.
And thanks for the link about Roni!
I've been struggling too - I think I am eating too much and not making the best choices.
I was going to work out hard at lunch today, only to forget that we had an office luncheon I had to attend.
I ate half of a sandwich and a salad - only to go back and get another half of sandwich which I didn't need and now I am stuffed.
Hugs! Have a great weekend Mel!

Oh, that cracks me up, too. It does make me feel better to know that Oprah, who has a chef and a trainer and all the money in the world struggles with her weight. It kind of makes me feel like less of a failure.
