I started the Couch to 5K program yesterday. I feel how I imagine an 87 year old feels, all rickety and sore and achey.
However, I know I will feel better soon and tonight I am going to ride my exercise bike--I plan to do that on days I don't run.
Also? I did ten pushups and so my upper body hurts today.
I'm a wreck but young enough to do something about that.
And now? Time to sweat.

Awesome!!! With each day, it will get easier!

Way to go, Melodee! You inspire me to get back on the exercise wagon. We can do it!

We all have to start somewhere. It will definitely get easier the more you do it. Keep it up and have a happy turkey day!

OMG so I am not the only one that feels very rickety. Every thing in my body seems to hurt. I started dieting in Aug. and so far I lost 31 pounds my starting weight was 227 pounds. The other day i went for a 5 mile walk because my knees are so bad i cant run any more. Any way i was about 2.5 miles out and I got a huge cramp in my calf. Then its started raining and then poring. I felt like i could barely walk but kept going. It has been 2 days now and my calf still hurts but its getting better.
Keep up your great progress. I hope I can get running again when I lose more weight.

You are a brave woman to start your exercise program right now. I keep saying "tomorrow" but then we go to the store and WalMart has all those darn cookies out or worse, Sams has all the yummy everything out. I keep trying but never get started officially.
I'm not giving up though. I just realize that some point I have to stick to it. I just don't know if Christmas is the time to try it.

Hang in there!
I feel kind of crazy running at my current weight, but hopefully . . . I wont be at this weight forever!
