My eating has been terrible the past day or two. I have not been rational, have felt a little moody. I am reading Eating Less and I think once I finish reading it and implement the ideas I will stop floundering.
In the meantime, I am continuing my Couch to 5K running program. I am on the second week. I think I reported here that I have to run for 2 consecutive minutes, but actually, it's only 90 seconds of running alternating with 90 seconds of walking. I looked ahead and fear when I have to run for longer stretches, but on the other hand, the point is to work up to that. Right now, I am walking/running for 30 minutes a day.
Without dying.
And so far, I feel okay. Nothing really hurts anymore. And remarkably enough, it hasn't rained on my running days.
What about you? Are you doing an exercise program right now?

Please note that I am going to try answering the comments in the comment section instead of sending email replies. We'll see how that goes. Thank you for being patient with me.

I'm still dancing. But I've been struggling with everything for the past seven days. And that scares the hell outta me. :: sigh ::

I'm on the opposite side - eating well but not moving.

Walking is good... it is actually the best exercise. But exercising is not enough... you have to eat well too.

You know...I'm NOT exercising. But Hubs and I just ordered a treadmill, and when we get it, I'm using the Couch to 5K app thanks to you. ;) We have an elliptical, but for some reason I hate it...

Glad you are continuing the 5K training. I keep forgetting to print out the couch to 5K program before I leave for the gym. I've gone to the gym 3 days in a row now - I think that is some sort of record. It certainly helps that I have nowhere else to go these days. ;)

MB, good for you!
I know I keep raving about this Couch to 5K app, but its so easy to use with the beeping and instructions in my ear.
Now, go print out your info and put it in your . . . gym shoes. Youll be all set next time!
Good luck!

Great to hear your POSITIVE progress, Melodee! Sorry I have been out of touch lately- busy time at the moment, but I do check in to see how you are doing regularly. You are on the right track with the exercise. Don't sweat the eating part too much. Pardon the pun ;-) All the best!

Go, Mel, Go!
I agree with Encourager. You seem hard on yourself sometimes, and if you exercise, then change up your eating habits, too . . well, it would be too much for me. How about doing that "just one thing" mode; changing just one thing about your eating habits at a time until that "just one thing" sticks, then changing another.
I'm not sure if I am on an exercise program, per se. I did a slow schlepp (10k at ave. 13:10 per mile last Thursday) and did a 5k today, so it is looking more like an exercise "spasm", LOL!

I started boxing about a month ago and love it! I'm also still doing 2-3 strength training sessions per week plus yoga and an aqua class when I can fit it in. I've become a gym junkie.....who'd a thunk it?
Keep plugging along.....I know it's a cliche but as long as we don't give up and stop trying....blah blah blah....
My food has been off the last couple days....I stopped tracking and that seems to not be a healthy alternative for me - at least right now. So, I'm done eating for the day and tomorrow I will start tracking again. I don't think I've eaten so much to do any damage on the scale but it's not worth the mental toll.
