You guys are awesome. Really. Did you read the comments in the previous post? All good sound advice, a mixture of tough love and incredulity and no-nonsense help. Seriously, people, you should write an advice column.
Okay, so here's the deal. I promise you--and me--that I'm off cookies. Really. Cookies are my crack and eventually I'm on the streets clutching cookies in my chubby little hands, stealing cars so I can fund my cookie habit. (Okay, so I exaggerate, but only about the stealing cars thing.)
And with regards to the cookies--they were purchased from a school fundraiser and we have only a few more boxes left. While I will not throw them away, I do hereby vow not to eat another one. I know I'm tempting myself, maybe unnecessarily, but I am strong enough to resist. If I want to. Which I do because I want to wear smaller pants!
So, thanks everyone. I PROMISE. NO MORE COOKIES. Let's say . . . until Christmas.

I believe you. You must post before you go to bed tonight and tell me you didn't have any.
Accountability. I will not have any more of my son's super yummy Reeses cake I made him for his birthday. (And I want some!)

Funny you should post this, I went to the library today and got another book by the same author as the book that Jeanette (Pasta Queen) is using to get back on track. If you're not going to throw them away at least put them in a brown paper bag where you don't have to look at them or give them to your husband to put in the trunk of his car.
I have issues with my inner two year old who says stuff like "but I never had to watch what I eat before, it's just not fair that I have to now". This book seems to have an answer for all of those stupid things our inner two year old is doing to sabotage our weight loss.
By the way the book is by Judith S Beck called "The complete Beck diet for life" and it's a cognitive behaviors book.

Good job, Mel. I believe you also and am rooting for your success!
I commit to only have 4 non-plan meals this week - which is what I'm 'allowed' on this new program. And, tomorrow I'll do at least 4 sets of 5 on my exercises....no matter what.
