I've never been all that excited about Valentine's Day, even though I've been very happily married for twenty-five years. But I do like any reason at all to eat chocolate!
However.
Chocolate has no place on the Whole 30 eating plan, so this year no chocolate will be consumed.
I don't actually mind.
Today, I ate this:
Some pumpkin concoction I saw online (canned pumpkin, eggs, coconut milk, cinnamon--all baked together . . . it was palatable but, uh, needed sweetener if you ask me!)
Turkey and baby carrots
Chopped vegetables and eggs: celery, carrots, onions, mushrooms, spinach. Oh, and half an avocado.
Orange, almonds and a few hazelnuts which I think upset my stomach. Am I sensitive to hazelnuts of all things?
Lots of water.
----------
I'm feeling pretty good and today I was able to wear a pair of jeans I couldn't zip a month ago. So, there's that. Who needs chocolate?
I am fine without chocolate, but wine and cheese are my fav! I am sharing the cheese my husband gave me with the office, less on my hips that way!
Happy belated V-day and have a great weekend!

Sweet NSV on the jeans! :-) Hormone surges and Valentine's Day are kind of a dangerous mix, I've discovered!!! :-P

Chocolate is overrated. I prefer a size 10.

Congrats on doing so well. Fitting into a pair of pants - very exciting. I've been doing WW, albeit horribly. Lost 10, gained almost 5. Been at it for over a year. I finally got back on track this week and lost 2.8. Keep at it. Do you feel good? I've been wanting to do Whole30, but I haven't been brave enough!
