I spent about ten days being absolutely perfect, eating spinach and eggs for dinner and roasted vegetables for lunch and absolutely no sugar, no how.
And then this weekend came along and I was no longer perfect. For whatever reasons. (Stressful busy schedule, mainly, fun with kids, partly, and a "who cares" attitude to top it off.)
Tomorrow, I'm starting Stage 2 of the South Beach Diet. This means I will be eating fruit, whole grains, dairy, protein and vegetables. No flour, no sugar, no processed stuff.
I understand the point of avoiding fruit and grains during the first stage of this diet but I did not like it. I think it's silly to not eat grapes or strawberries or steel-cut oatmeal.
